Flying to Croatia

Filed under: Hrvatska — Lidija @ 11:05 am

OK, from now on London is off our list of airports! Virgin Atlantic flight was four hours late because of the storm and we’d been sent from one Terminal to another for about three hours. We’re finally re-booked on a flight to Budapest at 8 o’clock tonight. Yes, Budapest. God bless my sister and brother-in-law for their endless patience with our travel troubles. :-)

UPDATE: We have arrived! (27 hours later and minus our luggage.)

  2. really sorry about this,we are in a big s… but heard about the same issue with New York from a woman sitting next to me on my flight from Heathrow to Pleso…it seems some cities are better to avoid! well do some shopping if you can and soon you’re in Croatia!

  3. Ja nisam vidio zmotaniji aerodrom od onog CDG-a. Zato uvijek preporučam Amsterdamski Schipol, uz kojeg me vežu samo dobra iskustva i sjećanja…

  4. @naftas - yes, i’ve never had trouble in paris. london and new york are the worst airports to fly through or to, i think.

@london column - oh, you’d better believe it that we did some serious damage. the delay may be a pain in the neck, but heathrow sure has some nice stores! :-)

  8. @petra - well, two suitcases are arriving today, two tomorrow. i just hope that the first ones to arrive are the ones with our clothes, and not the ones with all the presents.

  15. Ugh, sorry to hear about the terrible travel… 27 hours from NYC to ZG?! OUCH!

I’ve taken off London looong time ago as a transfer point. Amsterdam’s Schiphol is my favorite.

Good luck with finding the luggage!

At least now you can relax with your family and (probably) tons of food they will be feeding you with. :-)
